Jury Cristina Pizarro

Chilean sculptor and environmental activist. Born on September 26th, 1947. Works on stainless steel. Green activist. Studies at the School of Fine Arts in the University of Chile, where sculptor Felipe Castillo teaches her. Improves her sculpting skills under sculptor instructions of Jan Jacobs in Amsterdam.

She has performed more than 80 collective expositions in Chile and foreign countries. Founding partner and President of Corporación Cultural ArtistasproEcología between 1993 and 2008.President of Sociedad de Escultores de Chile, between 2007 and 2009. Founding member of Crealmagen Society. Director of the Asociación de Pintores y Escultores de Chile. Has emplaced more than 20 monumental stainless steel sculptures in Santiago, Valparaíso, Isla Negra, Denmark and Italy. Fondart twice (1994 and 1997), Critic of Arts Award, Valapraíso, 2006.
